Welcome to First Tee — Western North Carolina’s Daily Dashboard, where all your programming questions are answered! This page has all the information you need regarding our upcoming Fall season, including our Parent Handbook, course details, a weekly curriculum guide, and of course, our cancelation policy/weather updates. Throughout this season, please use this page as a lifeline, as emails will not be sent, and it will help you remain in the know of all things First Tee!
Site Details
Please have your child dress appropriately for the weather. We understand this is North Carolina and weather is unpredictable, but do try and make your best judgment. We also ask that your child wear closed toed shoes, as we are trying to protect your child, as well as our facilities. No cleats, crocs, flip flops, slides, etc.!
If you have your own set of clubs, please bring them! If not, don’t stress, as our team will have clubs for you to utilize with other players throughout the course of the season. We also ask that you come with a water bottle, as it does get hot!

Weather Policy
Classes may be canceled on any given day due to facility maintenance or staff illness, not just bad weather, so check the Daily Dashboard each day for your location’s/session’s status. We assess course conditions 3 hours prior to class start and will update the Daily Dashboard accordingly, as well as social media (emails will not be sent). Golf is an outdoor sport, and we could potentially have a class if it is raining. We suggest your child bring a rain jacket if necessary.

Last Minute Cancelations
Pop-up storms happen and coaches may not be able to give a full 2 to 3 hour cancellation notice. Last-minute cancellations may occur when you arrive to drop off your child(ren). The SAFETY of your child is our top priority and if a session is canceled upon your arrival, ALL participants, parents, and coaches must immediately vacate the area, as our policy is that all participants must be taken off the golf course premises by their families when the golf course is unsafe due to weather.
“Make-Up” Class
Only one “make-up” class is allotted per season. This will be used if one or more sessions are canceled. If implemented, the “make-up” class will occur the week following our last week of regularly scheduled programming.
Attendance
Our coaching staff understands that your child may need to miss a class, but we do not offer make-up sessions for missed class(es).
